About Netting

Rack Nets netting is a lightweight and surprisingly strong product that is perfect for a variety of safety applications around any industrial facility.

Conforming to European safety standards EN 1263-1:2002 and EN 1263-2 and manufactured from high tenacity polypropylene stitched cord, Rack Nets netting is fire retardant as standard.

A wide range of cord thicknesses and mesh sizes are available so that we can match your requirements with a specific net.
Rack Nets netting is also easy to install, does not suffer from corrosion and is virtually impossible to damage during normal every day use.

Netting capacity is very difficult to calculate. Individual strand strength is easy to test but nets work based on multiple factors and their strength depends on the size, shape and velocity of the products striking them.
The data sheet at the bottom of this page will give you an indication of how calculations can be done but as yet there is no recognised way of testing the capacity of a net.
This data sheet was written by Huck Netting.

In the context of mezzanine floor construction and fall arrest applications, Rack Nets netting complies with the stringent UK and European regulations and is tested in Huck’s unique, computerised in-house testing laboratory. Our safety nets are certified and bear the appropriate EN Safety mark. Huck is a founder member of FASET - the CITB endorsed body which has set the standards for the supply and installation of safety nets in the UK.
As we understand the importance of safety within a warehouse environment, we are committed to working with manufacturers and organisations like The National Physical Laboratory to continue to develop product performance.

If you have any other questions regarding netting and its suitable applications, please call us on 0845 077 0838.
